Our story

 

KASCAYD was born out of an intense frustration with parking systems today. It seems strange to us that in the year 2018, as everything around us gets smarter, parking is still a frustrating and annoying task for us all. If cars can get smarter and drive autonomously, then why can’t they also pay for themselves?

Harish and Nisarg met while working at Solarflare Communications and shared this frustration. They didn’t see why parking meters and parking tickets still exist. So, they set out on a journey to change the way we park!

How the technology works

 

With the push of a button the magic potions start to mix, mystical ingredients from far far away come forth and finally…poof! Your parking is complete!

Just kidding, when you push a button we send the GPS coordinates of your location to our powerful servers where machine learning algorithms sift through the data to correct any errors and pick the most relevant information. We then use an advanced algorithm that is based in geospatial geometry to determine if the coordinates are within a valid parking location. If this check is passed, we match the location with the tariff of the space you are parked in and simply add this to your bill when you move out of there.
